Bennett P. McRackan, Jr.,
is President of The McRackan Group, Inc. Mr. McRackan has been
involved in total compensation and human resource consulting for more than 25
years. He has been associated with businesses which range in size from large
Fortune 500 firms with in excess of 30,000 employees to small corporations with
as few as 10 employees.
During his employment with a Fortune 500 corporation,
Mr. McRackan developed and implemented benefit plans for the firm's
corporate locations throughout the Mid-Atlantic states. He also served as
Manager of the human resource consulting practice of William M. Mercer, Inc.
for 12 years.
Mr. McRackan earned his M.B.A. from Xavier University in Cincinnati,
Ohio. He serves on the Board of Directors of a number of profit and nonprofit
corporations and on the compensation committees of numerous companies. Mr. McRackan
is a Wall Street Journal Scholar and serves as mediator for the National Center
for Dispute Resolution.
Debra L. Hydorn, Ph.D., is currently a Professor
in the Department of Mathematics at University of Mary Washington,
Fredericksburg, Virginia, as well as a Senior Consultant and Advisor to The McRackan
Group. Her professional experience includes faculty appointments at the
University of Virginia, University of Mary Washington, Trinity College in
Washington, DC, and the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
Dr. Hydorn received her Ph.D. and B.S. in statistics from the University of
Michigan at Ann Arbor. She received a Masters degree from the Unitersity of
Texas at San Antonio in 1998.
Dr. Hydorn is considered a national expert in statistics and quantitative
analysis. Her publications include a doctoral dissertation at the University of
Michigan, Masters thesis at the University of Texas, as well as many other
University of Michigan scholarly articles in mathematics.
Angela J. Minnick is a Senior Consultant and
Principal acting as Computer Specialist for The McRackan Group, Inc. Ms.
Minnick's past experience as a computer trainer and software consultant serves
her well in her present capacity due to her extensive knowledge of computer
software and graphic design. She has also served as an adjunct professor for
The University of Virginia. Ms. Minnick specializes in both computer software
and in training client personnel via hands-on applications. She has instructed
numerous clients in computer automation through The McRackan Group, Inc.
as well as through the University of Virginia system and the federal
government.
Ms. Minnick earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the
State University of New York at Albany. She also obtained her Master of Science
in Business Education with a special concentration in computer techniques from
the same institution. Ms. Minnick has been named to Who's Who in American
Education on numerous occasions and has received commendations from the United
States Marine Corps for her work.
Deborah H. Brummel serves as a Computer Specialist
for The McRackan Group, Inc. During her 10 years with a computer
software company, Ms. Brummel was involved in end-user interface design,
software testing, technical writing, marketing and sales, contract
administration, and customer training. She also served as Managing Director of
the company's subsidiary in Helsinki, Finland.
Ms. Brummel graduated from Sawyer College of Business
and completed additional coursework at the University of Minnesota. She worked
on the staffs of the University of Minnesota and Virginia Polytechnic Institute
and State University prior to her move to the software industry.
David M. Syrett is Actuary for The McRackan
Group, Inc. For fifteen years, Mr. Syrett has provided sophisticated pension
and actuarial services to hundreds of plan sponsors and their advisors,
including serving as a Life Insurance Product Development Actuary. Currently,
he functions as an enrolled Actuary for approximately 150 defined benefit
plans. In addition, he also administers approximately 50 "Executive" profit
sharing plans.
Mr. Syrett's range of services include design work, installation, annual
valuations and Schedule B's, FAS87/88/132 suitability analysis, benefit
computations, redesign, plan termination (PBGC & IRS) and IRC Section
415(e) compliance. He also provides expert testimony and litigation support.
Mr. Syrett earned his Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics from The
College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. He is a Fellow of the
Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Society of Pension Actuaries.
